Prakash Moorthy S is an alumnus of MS University of Baroda and NID. He did Production Design for Shaji N Karun’s Vanaprastham and Markus Imhoof’s Raison du Coeur (feature films). He designed wildlife interpretation centres at the Rajamalai and Munnar wildlife sanctuaries. He showcased his animation films at the Hiroshima International Film Festival. His published works are Animating an Indian Story (NID), Satyajit, and Secrets of Lothal—a comic for Institute of Children’s Literature, He contributed to Between Earth and Sky, an anthology of writings on the forest (Penguin), to the Longform anthology (Harper Collins), and to the Indian Quarterly. He was the project director of Unsung Among Us and the Head of Animation for Sesame Street India. He designed the curriculum for Animation Cinema at the Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute, Kolkata as Professor and HOD. He taught Animation Design at Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology and at the UID, Ahmedabad. He is visiting faculty to NID and SRFTI. Presently, he is Academic Chairman, St Joseph’s College of Communication, MG University, Kerala.
