Abhijeet Kini, founder of Abhijeet Kini Studios, is a Mumbai-based illustrator, animator and independent comics publisher, known for his comic series Angry Maushi, Rhyme Fighters, and Fanboys. Winner of the Best Illustrator Awards Bronze (2018 and 2019) at the Comic Con India awards and Animationxpress CBAM awards (2021), Abhijeet has been a regular participant in all the Indian Comic Cons and has also participated in international editions. Having illustrated for magazines and newspapers like Mid-Day, Timesgroup, Hindustan Times, Timeout Mumbai, Timeout Delhi, National Geographic Traveller, Verve, and the like for over two decades, he has been a regular illustrator with Tinkle comics since 2004. His notable works in Tinkle include Butterfingers, Defective Detectives, Superweirdos among others. Abhijeet illustrates the Butterfingers book series for Penguin India. Abhijeet Kini Studios provide creative services such as comic design/production, merchandising, social media content, etc for various brands.
