Neha Alice Kerketta
Artist
Neha Alice Kerketta is an Immersive Media Designer currently working as PhD research scholar at IIT Guwahati. She earned her Master’s in Animation Film Design from IDC, IIT Bombay and Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from NIFT, New Delhi. She worked with Indian as well as international fashion brands as fashion designer before gradually moving to graphic design where she worked on providing visual design solutions for various Indian startups. She worked at IDC, IIT Bombay, as Design Research Associate on the project ‘E-Kalpa – Creating digital learning environment for design’, funded by the MHRD. After finishing her projects at IDC, she worked as visual communication designer for various self-initiated and collaborative projects. Alice’s work spans across various storytelling media like illustration, graphics, film and animation, with the purpose of developing, transferring and preserving indigenous design pedagogy, by studying Natural World Heritage sites of India, Intangible Cultural Heritage, Design Philosophy and Ethnography for digital inclusion.
