Charbak Dipta is an award-winning indie illustrator, cartoonist and graphic novelist. An Oxford alumnus, he has been working internationally as a graphic artist since 2013. He pioneered exhibiting Indian pop art internationally, especially in the west. Starting with the Times of India, his works have been featured in various national and overseas magazines. Academically, an M.A. in Philosophy and a Diploma holder of Film Studies from Jadavpur University, he considers himself a cultural reporter, obsessed with surrealism, ligne claire, Bangla language, Tim Burton and steampunk, who expresses himself through doodles. He currently heads the art department of a prominent Delhi based publishing house. Writer and artist of 12 published books, he is an avid traveller and a trained classical vocalist, guitar and pianist as well. He wishes to travel to Saturn’s rings someday.
